Cookie Policy
Effective October 2, 2026
Elthos uses an essential registration cookie to enforce a temporary eligibility restriction. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The web app also stores a few things in your browser so it works. The iPhone and Mac apps store the same kind of data on your device.
What the web app stores in your browser
- Sign-in session (local storage): keeps you signed in. Removed when you sign out.
- Your workspace (local storage): a copy of your sessions, projects and settings so the app opens quickly and works offline. Removed when you sign out or delete your account.
- Recordings waiting to upload (IndexedDB): audio kept on your device until it is saved to your account, so a lost connection does not lose it.
- Calendar connection (session storage): only while you connect Google or Outlook; cleared when the tab closes.
- Registration restriction (essential cookie and local storage): a signed expiry time or device-local expiry time, lasting 24 hours after an eligibility refusal. No birth date is stored. This prevents an immediate retry using a different date. Contact support if you believe a refusal is a mistake.
- App files (browser cache, through a service worker): the app's own code and styles, so it loads offline. No personal data.
On iPhone and Mac
The apps keep your sign-in in the Keychain, and your recordings and a copy of your workspace in the app's own storage until they are saved to your account. Deleting the app or signing out removes them.
Your choices
You can clear all of it by signing out, by deleting your account in Settings, or with your browser's "clear site data". The app will not work while signed out, because these items are what keep you signed in.
Changes
If we ever add anything that is not strictly needed, such as analytics, we will ask for your agreement first and update this page.
